Instrumentation – A slide on each instrument that is used in this style with details on how its played
Listen and evaluate – You listen to a song in this style and write about it
You Perform – Video of you performing music in this style – Write up of what you played and how it is in this style
You Create – Bandlab – compose a short musical example of this style.
Compare – Choose another style(s) of music and compare the similarities and differences.

In this component you will create a 5 portfolios on different styles of music.

You will demonstrate your understanding of the musical ingredients that make this style of music.
You will use your portfolio to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of how musical elements have been used to create the 5 styles of music.
You will use youtube videos and music recordings to evidence what you have written.
You will outline the musical styles which have come before these styles which have had influence.
You will outline key performers/composers/producers that have been influential in that particular musical style
You will record yourself performing various musical instruments to demonstrate your practical understanding for how they are used to create each musical style.
You will write musical reviews of songs in each style
You will compare each musical style to another style to show the similarities and differences.
You will compose short musical ideals in each style.
