Rock Musical/ Rock Opera
Sometimes also know as a Pop Opera this musical theatre style combines the tradition of the plot being sung (taken from Opera) combined with popular music styles.
The musical style is the music that was popular at the time that the musical created (Pop, Rock etc) such as Dreamgirls, Grease, Rent.
